March, 2014

On March 10th, 2014 I went for a quick adventure to Japan. I flew from Amsterdam (Schiphol/AMS) to Osaka (Kansai/KIX).

After my arrival early morning of March 11th, I took the Kansai Express (Haruka) train to Kyoto and visited the Nomomiya Shrine and the adjacent Bamboo Forrest. In the late afternoon I went into town and visited the many narrow streets.

The next day, March 12th, I took the fast bullet train to Odawara, near Mt. Fuji. Due to the weather, I did not see the mountain at all! It was raining cats and dogs...bummer! I stayed for one night and took the train on March 13th to Tokyo where I stayed for 3 days (2 nights) in Shinjuku.

On March 15th, I took the train from Tokyo to Nagoya where I visited Nagoya Castle, awesome! The very next day, on March 16th, I took the plane back home from Osaka's KIX airport. It was a very interesting trip! If you ever have the chance to go to Japan, don't miss out!!

June, 2016

In June 2016, I returned to Japan and (re)visited Hiroshima, Kyoto, Arami, Tokyo.
